Chase recently opened the Sapphire Terrace at Austin International Airport, as part of their plan to expand the Sapphire Lounge network. This move comes as American Express continues to expand their Centurion and Escape Lounge network, while Capital One also expands its lounge and landing network. Chase plans to open Sapphire Lounges in various airports, including Boston, Las Vegas, LaGuardia, Philadelphia, Phoenix, San Diego, and Washington/IAD. Although they currently operate a Sapphire Lounge in Hong Kong, access is only available to Priority Pass holders. Interestingly, this means that Amex Consumer Platinum Cardholders, Amex Business Platinum Cardholders, and Capital One Venture X cardholders have access to those lounges, but not Chase Sapphire Preferred cardholders. However, Sapphire Terrace is exclusively accessible to Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders within three hours of their departure time. They can bring in two guests for free, while additional cardholders can also enter the terrace for free and bring in two additional guests.
