Hotels.com Loyalty Program Devalued: Drop from 10% to 2% Rewards – One Key Change You Need to Know
Hotels.com recently announced a significant devaluation to its loyalty program. The previous program awarded customers with a stamp for each night's stay, and after accumulating ten stamps, they received a free night's stay based on the average cost of those ten nights. However, under the new program, called One Key, customers can earn 2% back on all hotels, vacation rentals, activities, packages, car rentals, and cruises and 0.2% on all flights across Expedia brands such as VRBO and Orbitz. This change is a massive devaluation that will be effective from mid-2023. Existing stamps will be converted to OneKey at 10% of the listed value. This change has made many customers reconsider using Hotels.com in the future.
