Google has introduced a best price guarantee for some flights, promising to refund the difference if the price drops. The feature was tested in 2019 and is now being launched with certain restrictions. Flights must be labelled as 'price guarantee' to be eligible, and the price must decrease by at least $5, with a maximum refund of $500.
There is also a limit of three price guarantee bookings at any one time. Flights must depart from the US, use a US billing address and phone number, and have the country/region set to USD with the price set to USD. It remains to be seen how many flights will have this guarantee and if it is only available on flights departing in the near future.
