Air travel can be made easier with various memberships, such as Clear. Clear allows you to fly without an ID and skip to the front of the TSA or TSA PreCheck line. However, The Washington Post reports that the TSA will be increasing ID checks for Clear passengers due to a security breach.
While the effectiveness of security checks is important, studies show that agents often focus more on catching water than potential threats like knives or guns. Recently, in Orlando, Clear members had to present their IDs, making the Clear line as long as the PreCheck line. Despite this, Clear still offers a convenient way to bypass some security procedures.
