Exciting news for travelers between Tel Aviv and Melbourne as El Al and the Australian government have reached an agreement to offer nonstop flights by June 2024. This is made possible by Oman and Saudi Arabia opening their airspace to Israeli airlines, making the route financially viable. El Al will receive route launch incentives from both Australia and Israel for this new flight, which is expected to operate three times a week using a 787-9 Dreamliner. The flight time will be significantly shorter than the previous 16-17.5 hour flight time that El Al flew to Melbourne as a COVID rescue flight on a 787-9. This new route will operate on a new Great Circle routing that should shave off several hours from the flight time. Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity to travel between these two amazing destinations with ease!
